The restaurant is known for catering to guests' preferences. Since each dish is made to order and most originate in-house, the Not Your Average Joe's kitchen is very receptive to custom requests. Although many of the ingredients are locally sourced, the menu incorporates culinary traditions from around the world. The selection of beers on tap and the award-winning wine list are also international in scope.
Eric Tranfaglia, a six-year veteran of the Not Your Average Joe's culinary team, serves as Executive Chef. Tranfaglia is a 2001 graduate of Newbury College where he studied culinary arts. Originally from the Boston area, he's already getting to know Prince William County's people, food traditions and nearby farmers' markets.
Erik Larson, whose top notch management skills have helped Not Your Average Joe's open two other restaurants in the metro DC area, is the restaurant's General Manager. Larson is well known for his "yes is the answer; now what's the question?" approach to serving guests.
