Northumberland Resources Inc. Announces Successful Drilling of Asmussen 16-3 Well.

LAS VEGAS, NV 8/14/2013 5:37:00 AM - - Northumberland Resources, Inc. (NHUR) announces that the Asmussen 16-3 well is online. At startup it was producing 100% oil at a flow rate equivalent to about 200 barrels of oil per day. Although this won't be sustained, it's a much better show than expected.

The next steps are to finish cleaning-up and setting the well site, ensure the Salt Water Disposal Well (SWD) is taking water as planned, monitoring fluid levels and adjusting the pumping system accordingly. Currently, the pump is running at 16 spm (strokes per minute) and will be adjusted as fluid levels drop or conditions change and warrant the pump rate change.

The Company also announces that Ryan Kerr has asked to be relieved of his responsibilities of Director and submitted his resignation. Mr. Kerr currently manages Inland Oil Corp., his family-owned business in the oil and gas industry, and was concerned that, with his many other projects going, there might be a conflict of interest.

The Company has an excellent portfolio of oil and gas leases consisting of nine other producing oil and gas wells in Butler, Stafford, Pratt and Cowley Counties in Kansas and is continuing its strategic growth through continued acquisition, exploration and joint ventures in new projects.
