NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 1, 2015) - Nomi, the world's leading in-store marketing and analytics provider, today announced the hiring of Jeff Babka as Chief Financial Officer to bolster its executive team. After completing a merger late last year to create the largest player in retail analytics, Nomi also announced the shipment of its 140,000th sensor, which caps a stellar year of growth.
Babka comes to Nomi most recently from Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), the world's largest cloud-based predictive analytics company which just sold to MasterCard for $600M, where he was CFO since February 2014. Prior to APT, Jeff served as CFO at Vibrant Media, Sophos and Neustar, where he lead Neustar's efforts in support of its $700M IPO as well as its $700M follow-on offering. Overall, Jeff has 40 years of experience in financial and operational management of public/private companies with a specific focus in the technology, software and telecommunications sectors. Jeff is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Dayton and obtained his MBA from Manhattan College.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to the Nomi team," said Steve Jeffery, CEO of Nomi. "His exceptional track record in leading a highly successful IPO on the NYSE and the sale of private companies in both the US and UK, combined with his extensive financial and operational experience in international expansion and M&A, makes him a powerful addition to the Nomi executive team."
"I am extremely excited about where Nomi and the overall in-store data analytics industry is headed," said Babka. "Nomi's success in the marketplace, as evidenced by having shipped over 140,000 sensors that have been installed by some of the most well-run companies globally, has established a strong foundation for driving additional growth from both products and software subscriptions."
