TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2013) - NexGen Financial Limited Partnership ("NexGen") is pleased to announce the launch of the NexGen Canadian Preferred Share Funds (the "Preferred Funds") and the NexGen Global Equity Funds (the "Global Funds"). J. Zechner Associates and Toron AMI International Asset Management ("Toron AMI") will act as the sub-advisors of the Preferred Funds and Global Funds, respectively.
The Canadian Preferred Funds' mandate is to pursue a steady flow of income primarily through investment in Canadian preferred shares and draws on the expertise of the J. Zechner Associates fixed income investment team, led by Jeff Herold. Mr. Herold and his team have been managing the fixed income components of multiple NexGen Funds including the preferred share allocation of NexGen's Canadian Diversified Income Fund.
The Global Equity Funds' mandate is to seek out global companies with identifiable growth prospects at an attractive valuation level. Toron AMI's investment team, led by Arthur Heinmaa, has over 10 years of experience in successfully running global portfolios in this fashion.
