Tower Health has named Dr. Ana Davitt, vice president and chief medical officer of Phoenixville Hospital and Pottstown Hospital.

Davitt will serve as a liaison between administration and medical staff, engaging physicians and advanced practice providers in initiatives to improve clinical quality, safety, and financial results. She will collaborate with the chief medical, nursing, and quality officers to ensure clinical processes align with the organizational goals for care quality and efficiency. A significant emphasis will be on monitoring and improving performance in quality metrics in the areas of: length of stay, hospital readmissions, and transitions of care.
Davitt is currently the associate medical director, department of emergency medicine at Phoenixville Hospital. Previously, she served as the interim medical director, department of emergency medicine, Phoenixville Hospital, and as chairwoman of the emergency medicine quality committee for both Phoenixville Hospital and Pottstown Hospital. In 2023, she spearheaded an initiative that placed a physician in triage in the Phoenixville Hospital emergency department during high-traffic times. This helped to decrease patient wait times and LWOTs (left without treatment) while also increasing patient satisfaction. Davitt’s additional experience includes: director of clinical operations, department of emergency medicine as well as interim chair, department of emergency medicine at crozer keystone health system, as well as clinical assistant professor, department of emergency medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine.
Davitt is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with distinction and honors, Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to attend University of Pennsylvania for medical school, and is board certified in emergency medicine. Davitt completed her residency in emergency medicine at Christiana Care Health System, and she continued her studies by becoming a registered diagnostic medical sonographer.
Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin
Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin has announced that Steven A. Hann recently spoke at a national webinar entitled “Complying with NPDES Industrial Stormwater Requirements.” His specific presentation during the webinar was “Examining Stormwater Pollutants and the Development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs).”

Hann’s talk covered numerous legislative and regulatory topics related to water quality, including a history of the Clean Water Act, federal regulatory initiatives related to water quality, the development and implementation of TMDLs, the regulation of municipal stormwater discharges, NPDES permitting, and issues related to specific stormwater pollutants.
He is a frequent speaker on environmental and municipal issues impacting municipal entities in Pennsylvania. A principal at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, he focuses his practice on environmental and municipal law and chairs the firm’s environmental law department. Hann is also the East Region Solicitor for the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA), covering the eastern half of Pennsylvania. In this position, he regularly interacts with PMAA staff and member authorities on a wide range of issues related to the management and operation of water, wastewater, stormwater and solid waste municipal authorities in Pennsylvania.
Hann earned a B.S. in both meteorology (Penn State) and in geoscience (Mississippi State University “MSU”), and a Certificate in broadcast meteorology from MSU. Prior to attending Temple University School of Law, Hann was an environmental consultant for both industry and government — first employed as a meteorologist focusing on air quality and air pollution issues. Thereafter, he was a member of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (“EPA”) field investigation team under the federal Superfund program, where he was engaged in various activities related to the investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites.
Tompkins Community Bank
Tompkins Community Bank has announced role expansions for three employees — Scott Stimson, Tabitha Landis and Stefanie Shirk.
Stimson, vice president and regional community banking manager, will oversee five branches in the Greater Philadelphia region, including managing Tompkins’ Centre Square Branch. Landis, assistant vice president, will manage Tompkins’ Pottstown Branch. Shirk, regional community banking manager, will oversee a total of seven branches throughout Berks and Schuylkill Counties, having recently become manager of Tompkins’ Boyertown Branch.
In their new roles, they will lead their respective branches, cultivating relationships with local businesses and ensuring customer needs are met.

Stimson brings 25 years of banking and financial industry expertise to his new role, having previously served as a business development officer at Tompkins. An active member of his community, Stimson sits on the board of directors for the Blue Bell Rotary Club, in addition to volunteering with Garden of Health Inc. and The Advisory Network for Small Business.

Landis, who joined Tompkins 12 years ago to assist with the management of its Centre Square Branch, brings a cumulative 22 years of managerial expertise to her new role. A member of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, Landis also volunteers as a summer youth camp counselor through the Limerick Fire Company. Additionally, Landis is currently enrolled in Tompkins’ Professional Development Program.

Shirk, who first joined Tompkins as a teller, has been in the banking and financial industry for 30 years, recently celebrating 20 years at Tompkins. A graduate of Tompkins’ Professional Development Program, Shirk has strengthened her financial and banking expertise for the last two decades, specifically focusing on business development and sales. Shirk is a member of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, and its Women 2Women group; she also volunteers as a Board Member and Treasurer for The King’s Academy and serves as a Board Member for Berks Encore.
