Berks Surveying & Engineering Inc. of Fleetwood has announced two staff appointments.

Robert D. Hain has been named vice president. He is a PA licensed surveyor, sewage enforcement officer, licensed drone pilot, and senior drafter/designer and administrator of the firm's engineering & land surveying departments. Hain will oversee the land planning services for company's commercial, residential, and agricultural projects.

Amanda Marbarger has been named estimates manager, agriculture planning specialist, and is certified in nutrient management. She will assist commercial, residential, and agricultural customers with their zoning, subdivision, permitting, NRCS 590 Plans, and PA Act 38 and nutrient management planning needs.

Pottstown Hospital — Tower Health

James A. Cook, DNP, MBA, RN, NE-BC has been appointed chief nursing officer of Pottstown Hospital. In this role, Cook will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of nursing and patient care services. Cook will be responsible for sustaining the standards of nursing practice throughout Pottstown Hospital and its entities, ensuring that the practice environment focuses on the ANCC Magnet Model and supports excellence in practice and care delivery.

Cook joined Reading Hospital in 2014 as a unit director and has held several key positions, including operations director, division of emergency and observation services and senior director, division of emergency services. He also served as interim emergency department director at Pottstown Hospital in 2022. Most recently, he was the senior director of clinical operations for Tower Health.

Cook received his Bachelor of Science, nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago; his Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in Downers Grove, IL; and his Doctor of Nursing Practice, healthcare systems leadership from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago.

Entech Engineering

Bryon Killian, PE, has been promoted to the position of business unit director of Entech Engineering's civil environmental resources business unit. He succeeds Robert Weir, PE, who will assume the role of president later this year. In this position, Killian will oversee all facets of the business unit including engineering/design, resource management, business development, project management, and client management for the firm's municipal and water and wastewater clients and industrial environmental services.

Killian joined Entech in 2002 and was promoted to principal in 2013. As a principal he played a key role in the growth of Entech's civil and environmental services, leading business development and working with numerous clients while delivering successful wastewater, water, and stormwater projects involving system operation and evaluation, data analysis, permitting, and engineering services from design through construction.
