NCIDA granting more than $2 million in incentives for two projects

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency granted more than $2 million in tax incentives for a Canadian company’s planned Niagara Falls facility and another local business expansion.

The agency granted $1.71 million in incentives to the Hamilton, Ontario-based LP Custom Machining, which wants to build a fabrication plant at 5000 Porter Road. It would be the first United States-based location for the company, which has two facilities in Ontario.

The 33,000-square-foot facility would fabricate components used for turbines, aviation, and alternative power generation. Twelve employees would be hired to start with an average salary of $55,000, with up to 35 hires planned over its first five years of operation.

General Manager Preet Singh had said they hope to get their plans approved by March and have the facility complete by the fall, with manufacturing starting in the summer of 2026.

The IDA also granted $492,929 toward Voss Manufacturing’s planned expansion to Walmore Road. The $4.73 million project in the former Jacob’s Ladder facility would be used to expand its sheet metal fabrication capacity.

The 2345 Lockport Road company would retain its computer numerical control machining operations at that facility.

The new location would create five new jobs with an average salary of $60,000, with Voss already employing 107 people in the county.
