VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 30, 2012) - The Mining Suppliers Association of British Columbia (MSABC) congratulates Jim O'Rourke, CEO of Copper Mountain Mining Corporation, for being selected as an inductee to the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. Nominated under the "Building the Corporation" category, Jim O'Rourke will be inducted for outstanding achievements during his 47 year career building successful mining operations and forging strong business partnerships between Canadian and Asia-Pacific companies. "Jim has been an outstanding leader in promoting the B.C. mining industry and has been an active supporter of the work of MSABC and other mining associations," said Ranallo. "Jim has also set a strong example of corporate social responsibility though his community work, such as founding the BC Children's Hospital Mining for Miracles campaign, which has raised over $20 million for our Children's hospital," added Ranallo.
The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame announced that Jim O'Rourke would be one of four new inductees at its 25th annual induction dinner, planned for January 10, 2013, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
