Morpho Detection and Nexus Select Kaon's Interactive 3D Virtual Products and Marketing Tools to Change the Way They Sell and Demonstrate Products

MAYNARD, MA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2013) - Kaon Interactive® today announced that Morpho Detection, a subsidiary of Morpho, Safran's security business, and advanced technology provider Nexus IS ("Nexus") have selected Kaon® interactive 3D virtual products to dramatically enhance the way the two companies market and demonstrate their products to prospects at trade shows and in sales meetings.

Morpho Detection, a leading supplier of explosives and narcotics detection systems, needed a more innovative and effective way for its global sales team to quickly convey the key features and benefits of its multi-ton checked baggage explosives detection systems (EDS) without having the physical products present. "The sheer size of CTX EDS solutions make them extremely difficult and costly to ship for demonstrations," said Nik Karnik, Director of Explosive Detection Systems at Morpho Detection, Inc.

Morpho turned to Kaon Interactive to create 3D virtual products to demonstrate the operational capabilities and technology behind its EDS systems on laptops and online. "The 3D Product Models deliver educational, engaging experiences on demand to every sales representative and prospective client, regardless of location," continued Karnik.

Nexus, a leader in cloud and managed services for advanced IT solutions, integrates numerous products from a variety of manufacturers such as Cisco, NetApp, VCE and EMC, and therefore needed an innovative tool to help them effectively communicate and better differentiate all of their partner's offerings. Working with Kaon Interactive, they were able to reuse over thirty interactive 3D Product Models that had already been created by their partners. Nexus demonstrates these 3D virtual products on a Kaon v-Rack™, all-in-one, fully integrated data center rack, Kaon's high-definition touch screen appliances, letting their prospects zoom, spin and interact with product animations, experiencing the products in their natural environment.

"The stunning visuals and dynamic interactivity of the Kaon v-Rack allows us to draw people into our trade show booth and engage each prospect with solutions that are relevant to their unique interests," said Steve Rodgers, Director of Nexus' Data Center Practice. "Not only are we able to more intelligently demonstrate numerous partner products, but we were able to cut the cost of shipping the physical products (and the 1,000 pound racks to house them) to events."
