Hillary Clinton’s name was misspelled on commemorative tickets handed to the audience gathered at Hofstra University to watch the first presidential debate.
The commemorative tickets listed the Democratic nominee as “Hilary Clinton,” spelling her first name incorrectly. Republican nominee Donald Trump’s name was spelled correctly.
A spokesman for the Commission on Presidential Debates told the New York Times the misspelling only occurred on commemorative tickets and not on the official ones. The official ticket, according to an Instagram post from Mark Cuban, does not list either presidential candidate’s name.
Sirius XM Politics first reported the mistake by sharing a picture of the commemorative ticket on Twitter.
The spokesman declined to say who made the commemorative tickets.
