Oct. 2—Mid-Missouri Insurance announced last week the acquisition of Joplin insurance provider Midwest Insurance Associates.
"Bill and Bonnie Hinman have built an extraordinary book of business in their impressive career and we're proud to be the insurance agency they trust to eventually take over the service of their Midwest Insurance Associates policyholders — both commercial policies and personal policies," Michael Miller, president of Mid-Missouri Insurance, said in a statement.
Bill Hinman will join Mid-Missouri Insurance and has relocated to the Mid-Missouri Insurance office inside Mid-Missouri Bank's Joplin location at 2230 E. 32nd St. MidMo Insurance will have a second office in Webb City when that facility is completed in spring of 2024.
Andy Perigo, Joplin's Mid-Missouri Bank community president, said in a statement, "We're extremely excited about Mid-Missouri Insurance expanding into the Four-State Area. The agency provides great products and service for our existing and future bank customers to take advantage of with their own insurance needs, and it's coming from an organization and people they've been familiar with for decades already in Joplin and Webb City."
Mid-Missouri Insurance has seven insurance locations in seven communities and 13 banking locations in 10 communities, offering a range of financial products and services. Current insurance locations are Joplin, El Dorado Springs, Stockton, Bolivar, Springfield, Lebanon and Richland.
Banking locations are Joplin, Webb City, El Dorado Springs, Stockton, Bolivar, Springfield, Republic, Willard, Mount Vernon and Lebanon.
