Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has unveiled Dragon Copilot, a new voice AI assistant designed to make life easier for healthcare professionals by streamlining clinical workflows.
The AI assistant combines Dragon Medical One (DMO) for voice dictation with DAX Copilot (DAX) for ambient listening, using fine-tuned generative AI and healthcare-specific safeguards to enhance efficiency.
Dragon Copilot is set to launch in the U.S. and Canada in May, with rollouts in the U.K., Germany, France, and the Netherlands to follow. Microsoft also plans to expand the tool to other key markets currently using Dragon Medical.
Built as part of Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, Dragon Copilot allows clinicians to dictate notes, automate tasks, record speech memos, and use AI-driven text promptsall in one platform. It also provides trusted medical information searches and automates referral letters, clinical summaries, and after-visit reports.
Microsoft says Dragon Copilot builds on its long-standing healthcare expertise to help reduce administrative burdens and improve both efficiency and patient care.
