MCH Group: Business Report and Sustainability Report 2013
The MCH Group Business Report 2013 and the Sustainability Report 2013 have been published on the MCH Group website.
The key figures for the 2013 financial year (income statement and balance sheet) were announced on 25 March 2014. With an operating income of CHF 472.6 million, the consolidated income statement shows a group profit of CHF 30.5 million. The operating income has thus increased by 21.1 % compared with the previous year, constituting the highest value in the company`s history. The profit is up 11.3% over the previous year, despite higher depreciations and a greater financial outlay for the new Messe Basel hall complex.
Together with the Business Report 2013, the MCH Group is publishing a Sustainability Report for the first time in accordance with the guidelines for the "Global Reporting Initiative" (GRI). This sets out, among other things, the energy consumption at the three exhibition sites in Basel, Lausanne and Zurich. More than 95 % of the energy used comes from renewable energy sources.
