MANITOWOC – Late businessman Kurt Dramm recently was inducted into the Commercial Growers of Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
Dramm’s name will now be displayed at the Boerner Botanical Gardens Visitor Center in Hales Corners.
Commercial Growers of Wisconsin is a diverse organization composed of wholesale and retail plant production business owners, employees, greenhouse suppliers, horticulture students and other advocates dedicated to the advancement of the states’ horticulture and floriculture industries.

Dramm received the award in recognition of his contributions and lasting positive impact to these industries throughout his career.
Kurt and his brother John co-founded the Dramm Company in 1968, producing garden and greenhouse watering products.
Their mother, Perdita, managed the business from her basement when she wasn’t working as a librarian.

Kurt led the company for more than 45 years after his brother passed away. He expanded Dramm into four segments: Commercial Greenhouse Equipment, Retail Gardening Products, Drammatic Organic Fertilizer and DRAMMwater for greenhouse water treatment systems.
Kurt passed away on May 16, 2023. His 2024 Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place Oct. 9 at Natural Beauty Growers in Denmark. His daughter Heide, son Hans and his wife Marlene accepted the award on his behalf.
