Mahindra Lifespace Developers, the real-estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, has announced a partnership with Livingstone Infra for a cluster redevelopment project in the Mahalaxmi area of Mumbai, India.
The project boasts a gross development value (GDV) of Rs16,500m ($190m) and is situated in one of South Mumbai's most sought-after neighbourhoods.
The location of the Mahalaxmi project offers strong connectivity, providing easy access to major business districts, essential services, and leisure destinations across South Mumbai.
This redevelopment initiative is expected to significantly enhance the urban landscape and living standards within the area.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers managing director and CEO Amit Kumar Sinha said: “This development marks Mahindra Lifespaces’ strategic expansion into South Mumbai’s premium real-estate market by creating residences that contribute to Mumbai’s urban renewal.
"The redevelopment aims to showcase cutting-edge design, sustainable elements, and premium amenities, enhancing the city’s skyline.”
In addition to the Mumbai project, Mahindra Lifespace has acquired an 8.2-acre land parcel in North Bengaluru, Karnataka, through its subsidiary Anthurium Developers.
The Bengaluru site has a developable potential of approximately 0.9 million square feet and is projected to generate a GDV of nearly Rs10,000m.
The Bengaluru property is conveniently located off the Bengaluru-Hyderabad highway and is located close to the city's international airport, IT hubs, and essential social infrastructure.
At 1.8km from the upcoming Doddajala metro station, the site is poised to attract urban homebuyers seeking mid-premium residential apartments.
The project marks Mahindra Lifespaces' seventh project in the Bengaluru area, with plans to launch the venture within the next nine months.
