Long Island’s Tate’s Bake Shop brand launches vegan cookie line

One of the best things to come out of Long Island’s East End is entering the plant-based market.

Tate’s Bake Shop, a brand which originated as a gourmet bake shop based in Southampton, has introduced a new line of cookies that is certified vegan and kosher.

Available in two varieties — chocolate chip and vanilla maple — the new cookies officially went on sale Dec. 1 on Tate’s website, Amazon and in select regional grocery stores.

The Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies is Tate’s signature chocolate chip cookie — thin, crisp, and buttery like the original but made with plant butter.

The Vegan Vanilla Maple Cookies is the newest flavor from the Mondelez International-owned brand. Thin, crisp, golden and sweet, the cookies are made with vanilla and a touch of maple.

Each product is certified vegan by Vegan.org and certified Kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union.

“As a brand that is committed to delighting its consumers with delicious new treats, we are very excited to be launching a vegan variety of our cookies,” Tate’s Bake Shop marketing chief Lauren Sella.

The cookies will begin rolling out to Whole Foods Market stores later this month.
