As expected, diversity was a main talking point during monologues and segments from host Chris Rock.
Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his Oscar for best actor in "The Revenant." "The film, which was nominated for 12 Oscars, took home the awards for cinematography, best actor, and best director, which was Alejandro González Iñárritu's second Oscar win in a row.
"Mad Max: Fury Road" swept early categories, winning six of its 10 nominations, and "Spotlight" came in with the best picture upset after only winning original screenplay at the start of the ceremony.
