LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 12, 2016) - Lieberman Software Corporation, a FireEye Cyber Security Coalition™ Partner, announced a technology integration which dramatically increases data breach threat response time when an active cyberattack is exposed within the enterprise. This new, innovative 'Automated Intrusion Response'™ (AIR) capability is unique in that it identifies, isolates and contains a critical part of the attack lifecycle in realtime, delivering significantly improved response times versus current manual processes and lowering risk. Lieberman Software is exhibiting this technology today at the FireEye Federal Forum in Washington D.C., where Lieberman Software is a Gold Sponsor.
The integration combines the strengths of Lieberman Software's Adaptive Privileged Access Management Platform with that of the FireEye Threat Analytics Platform (TAP).
Minimizing "Land and Expand" Exposure to Cyber Attacks
Based on a new, orchestrated "Detect and Respond" paradigm, the integration triggers a rapid, realtime privileged credential rotation for specifically-targeted systems whenever a new cyber threat is identified. Even if an initial cyberattack harvests credentials, the threat is then isolated and contained, because the stolen credentials are no longer valid and cannot be used to further expand the attack in the environment.
"Lieberman Software and FireEye have collaborated to deliver a market first -- a much needed automated response to isolate and contain data breaches in realtime," said Richard A Weeks, VP Channel & Business Development at Lieberman Software. "There are many vendors working on the 'Detect' part of the threat equation, with FireEye TAP one of the most capable and well respected. Unfortunately, the 'Respond' component has historically been that of manual human activity, which enables attacker 'nesting' based upon the associated time lags for travel and forensic analysis. This new integration changes the game by providing immediate, automated response at the critical privileged attack surface in minutes, not days or months. We are pleased to partner with FireEye to raise the bar for enterprise cybersecurity protection by creating a new capability: Automated Intrusion Response."
"FireEye is pleased to have Lieberman Software join the Cyber Security Coalition to help create a new way to isolate and contain attackers in realtime inside the firewall" said Ed Barry, VP, Cyber Security Coalition. "Automating threat response is a key focus of the FireEye security platform via our security orchestration, and will significantly decrease response times during breach events and provide the speed and scale necessary to lower overall risk."
