("Liberty Street") today announced that they have filed an amended and restated proxy circular (the "Liberty Street Circular") updating certain information concerning the individuals Liberty Street is encouraging shareholders of Banro Corporation (the "Corporation", or "Banro") to elect to the Corporation's board of directors at the annual & special meeting of shareholders scheduled for June 27, 2014. Liberty Street is in the process of mailing to Banro shareholders a GREEN form of proxy, a letter to shareholders and the Liberty Street Circular. The Liberty Street Circular, together with the letter to shareholders, was filed today and is available for review under Banro's profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com. A copy of the GREEN form of proxy is similarly available on SEDAR and was filed on June 11, 2014.

Merchant, Edwin Nordholm, Loudon F. McLean Owen, Imran R. Patel and Thomas John Pladsen, all highly qualified and experienced individuals, to be elected to a new, balanced and skilled Board.
