Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Gir, India

Hospitality group Lemon Tree Hotels has bolstered its presence across India with the signing of a new hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Gir, Gujarat.

The property, which is slated to launch in the fiscal year (FY) 2030, will be managed by Lemon Tree Hotels subsidiary Carnation Hotels.

It is poised to feature 80 rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, a meeting room, a swimming pool, and a spa.

Lemon Tree Hotels managed and franchise business CEO Vilas Pawar said: “We’re excited to bring our signature blend of comfort and local charm to Gujarat with our eighth upcoming property.

“This new venture further solidifies our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in this vibrant region.”

Lemon Tree Hotels has a diverse portfolio that spans across various segments such as upscale, upper-midscale, midscale, and economy.

The group has marked its international presence with openings in Dubai in December 2019 and Bhutan in February 2020, with further international expansion planned in Bhutan and Nepal.

The company's network currently includes more than 160 hotels, including over 60 hotels in the pipeline, both in India and internationally.

The latest move follows Lemon Tree Hotels' announcement of a licence agreement for a new hotel in Amritsar, Punjab, which is due to open in FY 2028.
