This expansion marks a crucial advancement in Lectra's efforts to promote the global fashion industry's transition to Industry 4.0.
Valia Fashion was initially launched in the US, Canada, and Europe in October 2024.
Lectra Americas president Lenny Marano said: "We’re dedicated to helping our customers remain competitive and agile in the market and meet the latest technological demands of fashion industry.
"Valia Fashion is a revolutionary solution that empowers fashion brands and manufacturers to connect, automate and streamline every step of apparel production. Since our initial launch, we’ve seen a great response from our customers who are using this technology to further reduce operational costs across their businesses. We are excited to continue expanding Valia Fashion’s global footprint to even more fashion enterprises."
Lectra also said Chicago Protective Apparel has chosen Valia for its made to order digital manufacturing needs.
It will implement Valia Fashion to improve production scalability and support growth initiatives. This platform will allow the company to centralise order management, distribute production across various manufacturing locations, minimise waste, automate workflows, and enhance visibility regarding fabric usage.
Lectra says that Valia Fashion facilitates the centralisation of global orders and optimises production processes, providing real-time insights that aid in quicker decision-making.
By integrating with all equipment in the cutting room, apparel manufacturers can incorporate this solution into their existing operations and digitise their production processes.
Chicago Protective Apparel president and general manager Keith Christiansen said: "This integration marks a shift from fragmented legacy systems to a smarter, more connected production model.
“Lectra’s Valia Fashion minimises our reliance on manual processes by creating a scalable digital infrastructure that gives us real-time visibility into open orders, scheduling, fabric utilisation and production performance – transforming how we make decisions, drive measurable efficiency to optimise resources, improve service levels, and more strategically plan for future growth."
Lectra will demonstrate the capabilities of Valia Fashion alongside Vector iX2—their advanced low-ply fabric cutter at the forthcoming Texprocess Americas event scheduled for 6 to 8 May 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.
