COLORADO SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwired - May 21, 2016) - Personal brain training company LearningRx is celebrating a major milestone with its 95,000th student graduating the program in the 13 years since its founding. The global company, which has a network of 78 centers across the United States and locations in over 35 countries, has an average customer rating of 4.9 out of 5. In addition, when asked how likely customers were to recommend the company to someone, 19,000 of 21,836 customers over a 5-year period rated LearningRx a 9 or 10. The 9.5 out of 10 customer satisfaction rating is nearly 20 percent higher than the national average and one of the highest ratings in the country.

"We're also very proud to have received over 900 testimonials over the last year," says Tanya Mitchell, Vice President of Research & Development for LearningRx and co-author of "Unlock the Einstein Inside: Applying New Brain Science to Wake Up the Smart in Your Child." "LearningRx wasn't born overnight. Our one-on-one brain training programs are based on 35 years of research and input from a team of psychologists, educators, speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists. With 95,000 students having graduated our brain training programs, we have plenty of data for independent researchers to study our unique cognitive training methodology and results. We not only encourage independent research, but we also actively seek it out. We are eager to share our results, and independent research helps validate our work among the scientific community in an industry that is still relatively young and therefore under constant scrutiny."

In 2014, LearningRx founded the Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research. Named after LearningRx founder Dr. Ken Gibson, the organization's focus is on building an empirical research base that supports the cognitive training procedures and assessments used by LearningRx brain training centers. "The Institute conducts research on LearningRx programs and assessments, and communicates the latest research findings to the education and cognitive science communities," explains the Institute's Director, Dr. Amy Moore. "In addition, our mission is to provide opportunities for outside researchers to participate in research projects that utilize LearningRx's cognitive training and assessment instruments, and to inform the practices of cognitive trainers by translating research findings into real-world applications." Most recently, LearningRx has completed Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) on cognitive skills and IQ, as well as several quasi-experimental controlled studies and numerous observational studies using pre- and post-standardized assessments from thousands of clients.
