Large blast heard near U.S. embassy in Afghan capital - Reuters witnesses
KABUL, May 3 (Reuters) - A large explosion hit the centre of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Wednesday, Reuters witnesses said, but there was no immediate word on any casualties or damage.
The cause of the blast was also not immediately clear, although a security official said it hit an area not far from the U.S. embassy and a compound used by the NATO-led Resolute Support mission. (Reporting by James Mackenzie; Editing by Paul Tait)
