Kesko`s sales increased in September
Kesko Group`s sales in September 2016 totalled €966.3 million and were up 32.5%. In comparable terms, sales increased by 3.6% in local currencies, excluding the impact of Suomen Lähikauppa and Onninen.
"Kesko`s sales continued to grow in September. Comparable sales, too, increased in all divisions," says Kesko`s President and CEO Mikko Helander.
The sales of the grocery trade in September were €456.0 million and increased by 17.5%. Suomen Lähikauppa excluded, the sales of the grocery trade were €392.2 million, representing a comparable change of +0.9%.
The sales of the building and technical trade in September were €437.2 million, up 54.5%. Excluding Onninen, the sales of the building and technical trade were €290.1 million, up 2.7% in local currencies. In Finland, sales excluding Onninen were up by 1.4%. Outside Finland, sales excluding Onninen increased by 4.1% in local currencies. The sales of the building and home improvement trade increased by 5.5% in local currencies. The sales of the leisure trade increased by 14.3% in Finland and the sales of the agricultural and machinery trade were down by 8.7%.
The sales of the car trade in September were €74.0 million, up 29.1% from the previous year.
