Kerry Logistics Network (KLN), a Hong Kong-based logistics company, has opened a new bonded logistics facility in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. KLN is a subsidiary of Shenzhen Mingde Holdings Development, a Chinese freight forwarding company.

The new facility is located at KLN’s existing site, which has been upgraded to include an additional warehouse and processing facility. It will enhance KLN’s capabilities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Additionally, it adds to KLN’s operations in the Netherlands, complementing existing facilities in Rotterdam and Middelharnis.

The new facility has designated around 40% of its operations exclusively to e-commerce shipments to address the growing demand. Spanning over 5,600sqm, the site features a dedicated warehouse and six loading docks.

KLN’s Hoofddorp site will offer clients a wide range of services, such as customs clearance, cross-docking, bonded storage, pick and pack, e-fulfilment, and distribution. Furthermore, it is located 30km from Amsterdam and under 60km from Rotterdam, strategically positioned between Schiphol Airport and the Port of Rotterdam, boosting connectivity.

Martin Stoekenbroek, KLN managing director for EMEA, stated that the new facility will improve the company's operational capabilities in the Netherlands and the EMEA region.

“Our team is eager to transition to this new facility, which is easily accessible to improve the efficiency and quality of operations,” he added.

Earlier this year, KLN embarked on a major Latin American drive. It announced investments in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and others.
