NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - December 12, 2014) - JetBlue Airways (JBLU), New York's Hometown Airline™, will host an exclusive live performance from chart-topping British sensations --Rixton -- on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 4 p.m. ET at its world-class Terminal 5 (T5) at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Rixton will spread holiday cheer for JetBlue customers and crewmembers as well as some of their biggest fans.
Rixton will perform their chart-topping singles at this special concert. Following on the success of their debut platinum hit single and U.K. No. 1 "Me And My Broken Heart" and their U.K. Top 10 follow-up "Wait On Me," Rixton has announced their next single will be "Hotel Ceiling," which they will perform at T5. The track is the third single from the Manchester band's eagerly anticipated full-length debut album Let The Road, which will be available in the U.S and around the world on March 3, 2015 via School Boy/Giant Little Man/Mad Love/Interscope Records.
JetBlue's Live From T5 concerts are held post-security at T5 at JFK and are exclusively for ticketed customers and contest winners. The airline and Rixton have also invited a VH1 Save The Music group of 35 New York City public school students to open for the band creating a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Participating schools include Bell Academy (Queens, NY), Marine Park Intermediary School (Brooklyn, NY) and MS 129, Academy for Independent Learning and Leadership (Bronx, NY).
For this special holiday concert, JetBlue has also partnered with Interscope Records and Rixton for a contest to provide tickets to some of the group's most dedicated fans. Beginning today, fans can enter via the group's website and social media channels for a chance to win passes (winner plus a guest) to this exclusive, intimate concert as well as a private meet and greet with the band trio.
