MILAN — High-end Italian design furniture firm Natuzzi will soon have a residence on Dubai’s artificial archipelago Dubai Islands, created with its own vision, to house its upscale couches and beds.
Bari, Italy-based firm Natuzzi Italia said Thursday that it is the first Italian design brand to create its own residential project.

Named Natuzzi Harmony Residences, the nine-story building was envisaged with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired high-end architectural and interior elements and characterized by sinuous forms and lines.
Date of completion is currently seen in September 2026. It was conceived together with Peace Homes, a a Dubai-based real estate company specializing in the development of luxury residential and commercial projects.
With 65 years of history, Natuzzi, along with its team of architects and interior designers, designed a building spanning more than 107,639 feet, across nine floors, with a total of 50 units.
Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, the company’s chief trade and contract officer and son of the founder Pasquale Natuzzi, sees the property becoming a Dubai landmark.
“Today, we celebrate this extraordinary achievement accomplished through meticulous and dedicated work that has allowed us to push beyond all imagination and create something unique. Dubai will have a new landmark where the splendid Arab culture merges with the Mediterranean one,” he said in a statement.
The Harmony Residences will be made-to-measure, customizable, both in terms of interiors and the layout of the spaces and will be complemented by a range of exclusive services like swimming pools, a gym, a wellness center, a children’s area and a cinema room, all designed to foster social interaction and harmony in everyday living.
Founder and chairman Pasquale Natuzzi Sr. started his career in Matera, Italy, in the 1950s. The Middle East region has been of particular interest. Natuzzi reopened its Riyadh store on King Fahd Road in July. The space now features its latest product innovations and architectural concept developed with design-forward creative Fabio Novembre.
Natuzzi distributes its collections worldwide through a global retail network of 681 monobrand stores and about 600 wholesale points of sale, including shop-in-shop galleries.
In 2023, it booked 328.6 million euros in sales and counted 3,587 employees.
Luxury fashion houses already have a vast footprint in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier this month, Elie Saab, Dubai-based development management firm Octa and property developer Arte Developments said they joined forces to build La Mer by Elie Saab, a signature development located on Al Marjan Island, a manmade island in the United Arab Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
