Israeli shekel weakens on key judicial overhaul vote

JERUSALEM, June 14 (Reuters) - The Israeli shekel weakened about 2% against the dollar on Wednesday as parliament prepared to vote on a key aspect of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judicial overhaul plan.

The shekel has been impacted by months political turmoil surrounding Netanyahu's plan that would increase curbs on the Supreme Court. Wednesday's vote is to pick two members of a panel that selects judges.

The shekel weakened as much as 2.2% against the dollar before regaining a bit, to trade 1.8% lower by 1045 GMT. (Reporting by Ari Rabinovitch)
