Integrated Data Storage Expands Latisys Footprint to Power Custom Cloud Solutions

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Sep 10, 2013) - Latisys, a leading national provider of hybrid cloud hosting and data center solutions, today announced a significant expansion to the hosting services agreement with Integrated Data Storage (IDS), a fast growing, Data Center Technology Integrator and Cloud Services Provider based in Chicago.

IDS works with a distinctive list of leading manufacturers to deliver custom IT solutions to businesses worldwide. IDS helps architect and deploy public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions that make customer IT operations run more efficiently -- creating new opportunities for businesses to grow and improve speed to market.

Under terms of the multi-year agreement, IDS, a Crain's Chicago Business "Fast Fifty" growth company, has significantly expanded their footprint in Latisys' Chicago and Denver data centers. From here IDS will leverage Latisys' ultra high-density hosting services to underpin its rapidly expanding cloud solutions platform.

"The Cloud has been the fastest growing part of our business and one of the most strategic decisions we had to make was choosing our Data Center partner," said Justin Mescher, Chief Technology Officer at IDS. "Latisys is one of the few service providers that offer Enterprise-class hosting facilities, while still being nimble enough to support a rapidly-growing business like IDS. That agility is what makes Latisys the perfect partner for IDS, because like us they understand how critical it is to provide solutions that are tailored to customer requirements and flexible enough to change as requirements evolve."

Latisys' Chicago data center serves as the Midwest hub of Latisys' nationwide footprint, which also features Denver as a disaster recovery site, and Southern California and Northern Virginia as gateways to APAC and Europe. Latisys recently completed construction on an additional 10,000 square feet of high-density space in its Oak Brook, IL data center, a high demand area in Chicago's western suburbs.

"Both Latisys and IDS share a passion for IT infrastructure-as-a-service and the business benefits that can be achieved for customers that choose to outsource," said Pete Stevenson, CEO of Latisys. "We are pleased to provide IDS with the flexibility, scalability, reliability and unified customer care support accelerating growth -- now and in the future."

Latisys' data center platform is operated under SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 audited controls. This replaces the SAS 70 guidebook and reaffirms Latisys' commitment to meet the highest standards for availability and security, while making sure all of the appropriate controls and safeguards are firmly in place.
