Indiana 46 to be temporarily closed near Riley

Nov. 13—The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced a temporary closure of a portion of Indiana 46 near Riley to replace culverts.

Beginning on or after Nov. 14, crews will be closing down Indiana 46 from Donham Drive to County Road 650 W. The closure will be between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily and is expected to last until late November.

The official detour around the closure will be from I-70 to U.S. 40 to Indiana 59, lasting about 20 miles in length.

INDOT encourages drivers to be mindful of worker safety while traveling around any construction zones. This can include avoiding distracted driving and obeying the work zone speed limit.
