IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered a management agreement with So Hotels to establish the InterContinental Kasauli, bringing its hospitality to Himachal Pradesh, India.
Expected to open in the first quarter of 2029, the luxury resort will join IHG's expanding presence in India, where the company already operates 47 hotels across six brands.
So Hotels managing partner Ojas Garg said: “We are excited to partner with IHG Hotels & Resorts to introduce the world-renowned InterContinental brand to Kasauli. Given its strategic location and IHG’s esteemed reputation, we are confident that InterContinental Kasauli will set a new benchmark for hospitality in the region.
“The hotel’s thoughtful design, exceptional amenities, and unparalleled service will elevate the travel experience in this scenic town.”
The property aims to cater to leisure travellers and provide a new venue for weddings and high-end MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions] business.
The hill station's connectivity to major cities such as Chandigarh and Shimla makes it an accessible retreat.

The upcoming InterContinental Kasauli is set to offer approximately 130 guest rooms, designed with the brand's signature experience in mind.
Guests will have access to a range of amenities, including Concierge Galleries, which transform the hotel lobby into a hub of local culture and knowledge, and Incredible Occasions, a service for celebrating various life events.
IHG's current portfolio in India has hotels under brands such as Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express.
The company has a pipeline of 60 hotels slated to launch within the next three to five years in the region while its InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand currently operates more than 225 hotels worldwide, with nearly 100 more properties in development.
In June 2023, IHG entered a management deal with AHG Hotels and Resorts for the Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, which will feature 300 rooms and various dining options.
