TOMS RIVER - Honeygrow, a restaurant featuring made-to-order salads, stir fry and honey-based desserts, will open later this fall at Ocean County Mall.
The Philadelphia-based fast-casual restaurant chain said it's in the middle of an expansion in Central Jersey and western Pennsylvania. Along with a recently announced restaurant in Old Bridge, the Toms River location will be Honeygrow's sixth in the Garden State.
“Expanding our presence in central New Jersey is a natural extension as we bridge the gap between our southern and northern New Jersey restaurants,” said Justin Rosenberg, Honeygrow's founder and chief executive officer, in a statement.
At Ocean County Mall, the restaurant joins other restaurants, including Turning Point, P.F. Chang's, On the Border and Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea.

Honeygrow's menu features five year-round and one seasonal stir fry, as well as create-your-own versions, featuring the restaurant's freshly-made noodles. It also offers salads as well as a "lifestyle menu" with paleo, keto, vegan, high protein, and Whole 30 standardized dishes.
Honeygrow is also known for its honeybars, a sweet dessert using fresh fruit, three kinds of flavored honey, and various garnishes.
