Newly released data from Realtor.com for July shows that potential buyers and sellers in Fond du Lac County saw houses sell for higher than the previous month's median sales price of $246,100.
The median home sold for $250,000, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. That means July, the most recent month for which figures are available, was up 1.6% from June.
Compared to July 2023, the median home sales price was up 4.2% at $250,000 compared to $240,000.
Realtor.com sources sales data from real estate deeds, resulting in a few months' delay in up-to-date data. The statistics don't include homes currently listed for sale, and aren't directly comparable to listings data.

Looking only at single-family homes, the $250,000 median selling price in Fond du Lac County was down 1.2% in July from $253,000 the month prior. Since July 2023, the sales price of single-family homes was up 4.2% from a median of $240,000.
One single family home sold for $1 million or more during the month, compared to zero recorded transactions of at least $1 million in July 2023.
Condominiums and townhomes decreased by 8% in sales price during July to a median of $185,000 from $201,000 in June. Compared to July 2023, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes was down 11.8% from $209,700. No condominiums or townhomes sold for at least $1 million or more during July.
In July, the number of recorded sales in Fond du Lac County dropped by 17.2% since July 2023 from 93 to 77. All residential home sales totaled to $42 million.
In Wisconsin, homes sold at a median of $317,263 during July, up 2.3% from $310,000 in June. There were 5,465 recorded sales across the state during July, up 1.8% from 5,369 recorded sales in July 2023.
The total value of recorded residential home sales in Wisconsin increased by 17.6% from $1.9 billion in June to $2.3 billion this July.
Out of all residential home sales in Wisconsin, 3.02% of homes sold for at least $1 million in July, up from 2.07% in July 2023.
Sales prices of single-family homes across Wisconsin increased by 3.2% from a median of $319,759 in June to $330,000 in July. Since July 2023, the sales price of single-family homes across the state was up 11.9% from $295,000.
Across the state, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes dropped 5.2% from a median of $284,900 in June to $270,000 during July. The median sales price of condominiums and townhomes is up 5.9% from the median of $255,000 in July 2023.
