Homes in Cumberland County sold for lower prices recently: See how much here

Newly released data from Realtor.com for April shows that potential buyers and sellers in Cumberland County saw houses sell for slightly lower than the previous month's median sales price of $221,000.

The median home sold for $220,000, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. That means April, the most recent month for which figures are available, was down 0.5% from March.

Compared to April 2023, the median home sales price was up 7.3% at $220,000 compared to $205,000.

Realtor.com sources sales data from real estate deeds, resulting in a few months' delay in up-to-date data. The statistics don't include homes currently listed for sale, and aren't directly comparable to listings data.

Looking only at single-family homes, the $219,000 median selling price in Cumberland County was down 0.5% in April from $220,000 the month prior. Since April 2023, the sales price of single-family homes was up 6.8% from a median of $205,000.

No single-family homes sold for at least $1 million or more during the month.

Condominiums and townhomes decreased by 15.4% in sales price during April to a median of $225,000 from $266,000 in March. Compared to April 2023, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes was up 18.4% from $190,000. No condominiums or townhomes sold for at least $1 million or more during April.

In April, the number of recorded sales in Cumberland County rose by 26.6% since April 2023 from 391 to 495. All residential home sales totaled to $113.5 million.

In North Carolina, homes sold at a median of $345,000 during April, up 5.1% from $328,308 in March. There were 14,937 recorded sales across the state during April, up 4.7% from 14,261 recorded sales in April 2023.

The total value of recorded residential home sales in North Carolina increased by 145.9% from $7.2 billion in March to $17.7 billion this April.

Out of all residential home sales in North Carolina, 10.4% of homes sold for at least $1 million in April, up from 6.39% in April 2023.

Sales prices of single-family homes across North Carolina increased by 5.3% from a median of $325,053 in March to $342,443 in April. Since April 2023, the sales price of single-family homes across the state was up 8.7% from $314,975.

Across the state, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes rose 2.9% from a median of $340,000 in March to $350,000 during April. The median sales price of condominiums and townhomes is up 6.3% from the median of $329,250 in April 2023.
