Grundfos: This In-line pump boosts performance in the entire system
Intelligent pump increases system performance
The new TPE3 In-line pump from Grundfos represents a quantum leap in In-line pumping for commercial buildings. Not only is it a state-of-the art Grundfos pump with best-in-class pump and motor efficiency - it also has a series of advanced functionalities that affect the efficiency of the entire system it is a part of, making it the newest star in the portfolio of Grundfos iSOLUTIONS. Choose a pump that truly makes a difference for heating and cooling applications.
Built-in heat energy meter and pump throttling valve
The TPE3 is more than a pump: It features a built-in heat energy meter that can monitor heat energy distribution and consumption, and help avoid excessive energy bills caused by system imbalances. Wherever there is a pump there is a heat energy meter. Moreover, a new flow limiting function eliminates the need for a pump throttling valve and thereby reduces the pressure loss. This improves the overall performance of the system and reduces initial costs.
Integrated DELTA T control
Say goodbye to a DELTA T that is either too high or too low. With the integrated DELTA T control you can save the costs of a differential temperature sensor. You are able to operate your pump based on the measured difference between flow temperature and return temperature. This is done by utilising the built-in sensor and connecting one external sensors directly to the TPE3, and thereby allowing the pump to take charge of the system`s need for flow based on differential temperature.
Optimise these applications!
The TPE3 is an all-round In-line pump that can be used in all heating, cooling and district energy systems. In some applications, the TPE3 makes an especially significant difference in terms of comfort and system efficiency- examples below.
Increased boiler protection in boiler shunts
Use the TPE3 in non-condensing boiler systems and get increased boiler protection and reduced operation costs. Combine the TPE3 with an external temperature sensor that measures the return water temperature. By adapting the flow in the by-pass line the pump is in charge of the water temperature entering the boiler, which ensures that the right temperature is maintained at all times.
Increased system efficiency in one-string heating systems
Use the TPE3 for one-string heating systems and increase system efficiency. In single string systems the design is typically made with constant flow. The result is increased return temperatures from the system in low load situations. A TPE3 pump solves this problem and ensures that DELTA T is maintained as originally intended.
