So many brands think video = expensive endeavour for the web. While it DOES take more time and is definitely more expensive than just starting a blog or taking photos with your smart phone, it's not as cost-prohibitive as you may think.
Lots of people compliment me on my videos and, in this week's video, I let you in on the cheap and dirty secret: the whole setup cost me somewhere between $1000-1500 - and that lasts me for years worth of videos (while most companies are quoted $2500+ PER video for outside production).
If you are a small to mid-sized business, it's totally worth your time to get comfortable with DIY-ing this stuff. This video covers the production bits. I'll cover the post-production, promotion, and pre-production stuff in future videos.

Truly Social is a web series that you can share with your boss or client when they're not really "getting" social.
I've been working on this social stuff for over 16 years and I've been a participant in the social web since 1992. My videos will come out every SUNDAY...with 2-5 minute "lessons" on what are truly social practices (and what are NOT).
