Grantham University Holds Employer Veteran Recruitment Workshop at NACE

KANSAS CITY, MO--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2013) - Grantham University, an accredited online university serving working adult students around the world, is slated to lead a veteran recruitment workshop for employers at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Conference. The workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on June 6, in Orlando, Fla.

The workshop, "Solutions to the Success Barriers of Your Veteran Recruitment Program," will be led by Shanna Fowler Lambing, Career Services Manager, and Heidi Feiden, Education Outreach Program Manager at Grantham University. The workshop will feature solutions to the five most common barriers of successful veteran recruitment and retention encountered by employers.

Fowler Lambing and Feiden will also outline the steps to create a veteran recruitment and retention strategy, while providing recruitment strategy and program templates. The workshop will include a look at veteran-friendly job postings, their common traits, and ways to gain organizational buy-in for a veteran recruiting effort.
