Geely Auto and Renault Group are set to launch the Geely EX5 electric vehicle in Brazil in July 2025, marking their first product offering in the Brazilian market.

The companies aim to establish a presence with 60 dealerships nationwide, starting with 23 dealerships in 18 cities dedicated to the Geely brand.

In February, Renault Group signed a framework agreement with Geely to extend their strategic partnership into Brazil, with a focus on producing and selling zero and low emission vehicles. This move will see Geely become a minority shareholder in Renault do Brasil, enabling access to localised production, sales, and service resources.

Renault Latin America SVP and CEO Luiz Fernando Pedrucci said: "This is a historic moment for Renault Group! We proudly launched the Geely brand in Brazil. More than a brand, Geely represents technology, innovation and boldness.

"It is present in the main regions of the world, being recognised as a successful international brand. To mark its arrival, we have chosen a global benchmark product: the Geely EX5."

The Geely EX5 has been engineered with both left- and right-hand drive options, catering to international standards.

The EX5 is equipped with features focused on intelligent energy, safety, space, and Interaction.

Geely Auto vice president Alex Nan added: "Brazil stands out as one of the most dynamic automotive markets in Latin America, with a booming economy and significant demand for innovative technologies."

"We look forward to working together with our Renault partners to deepen our performance in this vibrant market, offering customers products and services that are truly aligned with local needs.”

Additionally, in March, Geely Auto introduced the Geely Global App, a mobile platform designed to enhance vehicle management for EX5 owners.

The app is aimed at providing a more intelligent and accessible ownership experience for customers worldwide.
