Chinese company Geely Auto has announced its 2024 global sales figures, reaching 2.17 million vehicles, reflecting a 32% increase compared to the previous year.
A significant portion of this growth came from international markets, where exports rose by 53%, totalling 403,923 units.
In 2024, Geely Auto expanded its reach to over 80 countries and regions, entering more than ten new markets.
The company's growth was propelled by the launch of 16 new models in over 40 countries.
Geely also increased its global network, with a 69% rise in the number of sales and service locations, bringing the total to nearly 900 by the end of the year.
The company built two new factories in Asia and Africa and set up four subsidiaries in Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines, and Chile to better serve these growing markets.
Key models like the Coolray, Monjaro, Emgrand, and Geely EX5 were instrumental in driving sales.
The Coolray achieved sales of one million units, the Monjaro's exports surged by 150%, and the Emgrand remained a top three A-sedan in nine markets, the company said.
The EX5 received global recognition at various international automotive events.
In 2024, Geely's user base exceeded 16 million, with a focus on “product innovation, operational excellence, and brand building.”
Geely highlighted its ongoing "multi-energy" strategy, which includes internal combustion engines (ICE), hybrid, electric, and methanol vehicles, to provide customised solutions for diverse markets.
Looking ahead to 2025, Geely aims to reach 2.71 million units in global sales.
