Former Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams has listed his north central Scottsdale home for $4 million.
The 5,527-square-foot house with five bedrooms and 6 ½ bathrooms is located on a cul-de-sac in the Equestrian Manor community. It comes with a bar, an office, a gym, a butler’s pantry, a video game room, large pocket doors in the living room, a wine cellar, a casita, a pool, a basketball court and an outdoor putting green.
Williams had coached the Suns since 2019 before being let go by the team in May. Two years ago, he took the team to the NBA finals, and last year, Williams was named the NBA’s coach of the year.
Earlier this month, Williams was named head coach of the Detroit Pistons.
“We are honored to work with Monty, who is a pivotal figure in the sports community as he transitions from Phoenix to Detroit,” said Brian Kusmer of 72SOLD, which has the listing. “This estate is perfect for a family but also anyone looking for a home to entertain with plenty of upgrades.”
Greg Hague, CEO of 72SOLD, said the firm is a supporter of local professional sports teams and is honored to work with Williams.
Williams played for five different teams during his nine-year tenure as a forward in the NBA. He was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1994.
