EFG Private Bank broadens its offerings in the UK

In an effort to better serve the UK market, EFG Private Bank, the UK division of Swiss private bank EFG International, revealed the opening of an unique Independent Asset Management (IAM) platform in London.

The Group's worldwide IAM business is strengthened and proven by the UK IAM solution, which makes use of its network, expertise, and platform capabilities.

Alongside EFG's present offerings, the new IAM UK Desk will serve the needs of wealth managers, independent advisers, and entrepreneurial multi-family offices that need assistance in providing for their own clientele.

The group will give customers access to a platform for managing their orders, booking options in the UK, a simplified process for creating an account, and a wide range of products, from sophisticated substitutes to financial management.

Leading the IAM team will be Ian Wright, head of Independent Asset Managers UK, who will report to global head of IAM Daniel Ioannis Zürcher and head of private banking UK Michael Vlahovic.

Wright has worked in the global financial services sector for 25 years, the last 12 of which he spent in the Independent Asset Management sector.

Moreover, David Holmes, who has ten years of IAM market expertise in operations and relationships, and Kristina Donnelly, who has ten years of EFGIUK experience working with clients and managing credit are both joining Wright.

Vlahovic stated: “We are delighted to be launching our IAM Desk, further expanding the services we offer to Independent Asset Managers and their clients and reinforcing EFG’s commitment to growth and investment in the UK. There is a real gap in the market for a premium IAM service, particularly as we continue to see healthy growth in the number of entrepreneurial Multi-family Offices and Wealth Managers looking for Private Banks such as EFG to serve their sophisticated client base.”

Zürcher added: “We are already strongly positioned in the IAM segment, particularly in Switzerland, Continental Europe, LatAm and Asia. At the same time, we see further growth potential in international IAM markets such as the UK. Our ability to leverage the Group’s strong track record and IAM expertise means that we are well positioned to offer the IAMs and the related clients a strong and differentiated service offering. Launching an IAM offering in London marks an important step in line with our overall strategy. The team is excited about the opportunity ahead.”
