This new addition provides a powerful tool for the analysis of TV and video distribution that combines both real time monitoring and highly insightful business intelligence.
Delivering video services over IP, and especially the internet, to a fragmented market of connected devices, creates significant challenges in monitoring, analyzing and understanding key aspects of service performance. Today's TV and video service providers suffer from a lack of information due to fragmented data spread over many disparate systems.
Edgeware's Convoy 360° Analytics presents in one single system extremely valuable real-time and historical business information describing network quality, user experience, and content popularity for any video distribution architecture, business model, client device, or service offering. The system is highly interactive, allowing users to create dashboards supporting fully customizable widgets. Three pre-prepared dashboards are included as standard: Network Operations for monitoring network performance and planning capacity upgrades, Service Operations for use by customer service teams and Content & Viewers for program and service marketing. A library of more than 30 additional, pre-prepared widgets are also included to illustrate potential and facilitate customization.
Within each dashboard, users can filter by region, distribution, format, devices, content provider and ISP and present the data as a variety of charts, tables or geographical maps. The system also includes powerful support for data export or integration to third party data processing systems via an open API.
Using Convoy 360° Analytics service provider network teams can for example anticipate and prevent service degradation before customer support is engaged. If the service desk does receive calls, they are able to rapidly pinpoint and analyze specific user video sessions in real-time and extract detailed debug information to aid resolution. In addition, the marketing teams can see exactly how content is performing and how subscribers are responding to promotional campaigns.
