Eaton Vance California Municipal Bond Fund and Eaton Vance New York Municipal Bond Fund Announce Results of Annual Shareholder Meeting

BOSTON, October 08, 2024--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eaton Vance California Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE American: EVM) and Eaton Vance New York Municipal Bond Fund (NYSE American: ENX) (each a "Fund" and, together, the "Funds") announced the results of each Fund’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders (together, the "Annual Meeting"), which was convened on September 9, 2024 and adjourned to September 30, 2024, for the election of three members of the Fund’s board of trustees to serve three-year terms ending in 2027. In light of the NYSE American LLC annual meeting requirements, the Annual Meeting could not be adjourned past September 30, 2024, the last day of each Fund’s fiscal year ended September 30, 2024. With respect to EVM, a quorum was not present at the Annual Meeting. Due to the lack of quorum, no action was taken with respect to the trustee elections. Pursuant to EVM’s Amended and Restated By-Laws, the trustees whose terms are expiring at the time of the Annual Meeting will continue to serve as trustees as members of their respective class of trustees, holding office until the annual meeting held in the third succeeding year following the Annual Meeting. As such, the current Class I Trustees of EVM, Mark R. Fetting, Valerie A. Mosley and Keith Quinton, will continue to serve as Class I Trustees of EVM. With respect to ENX, a quorum was present at the Annual Meeting, but none of the candidates presented for election by the Fund's common shareholders received the requisite vote at the Annual Meeting. Pursuant to ENX’s Amended and Restated By-Laws, when none of the candidates presented receive the requisite vote, the trustees whose terms are expiring at the time of the Annual Meeting will continue to serve as trustees as members of their respective class of trustees, holding office until the annual meeting held in the third succeeding year following the Annual Meeting. As such, the current Class I Trustees of the Fund, Mark R. Fetting, Valerie A. Mosley and Keith Quinton, will continue to serve as Class I Trustees of ENX.
