Cracked a piece of dinner China handed down from your grandmother? Can’t host Scrabble game night due to some missing tiles? You’re in luck. A number of websites can help you replace missing or broken items to complete your set.
Cracked or Missing China
At online retailer replacements.com, you’ll find over 13 million pieces of old and new dinnerware, including China, silver and crystal in nearly 400,000 different patterns. Some pieces are more than 100 years old. And if you don’t see what you need, you can sign up for the site’s “Find This For Me” service, which attempts to track down what you’re looking for.

Missing Game Pieces
If missing pieces are taking the fun out of your games, just hop online to the manufacturer’s website where you can usually order replacements. Scrabble tiles — along with pieces from Clue, Sorry and Life — can be found at HasbroToyShop.com. A tile refill pack costs $8 (versus $25 for a new board game).
In addition, you can find Barbie accessories and other Mattel replacements at Mattel.com. Find extra pieces at Lego, too. You can search by your Lego set number or the Lego’s element/design number.

Furniture Assembly Parts
A lot of new furniture — from chairs and tables to shelves — usually require some self-assembly. Whether from Pottery Barn or Ikea, expect to receive the shipment with a small plastic bag of hardware. But what if a bolt goes missing from the bag? In many cases you can call the store and they’ll usually have some spare pieces available, which you can pick up in the store. For Ikea parts you can call 800-434-4532 or send them an email.
