East Hills Engineering Associates LLC has announced the promotion of Michael D. Finnigan from plumbing systems designer to plumbing department supervisor.
As the plumbing department supervisor, Finnigan will take on additional responsibility and oversee the plumbing design process. He will engage with the company’s clients and use his skills to help provide plumbing systems design in line with the company’s mission to create quality, budget-appropriate, high-performing engineering solutions, the company said.
Finnigan, a 2006 Forest Hills High School graduate, was awarded the Engineering Technology award for his graduating class. He is a 2008 graduate of Triangle Tech Institute in Greensburg, where he earned an associate’s degree in architectural computer aided drafting and design.
He has been in the CAD drafting/system design field since 2008, and joined East Hills Engineering as an HVAC Systems CAD technician in September 2015.
In 2018, he accepted a position as a plumbing system CAD technician.
Finnigan passed the Certified Plumbing Design Technician exam in September 2019 and passed his Certified in Plumbing Design test in April.
He serves as president and treasurer for the Johnstown Chapter of American Society of Plumbing Engineers.
