This week's business forecast calls for a scattering of new openings and one shocking closure. That's right — Delmarva is waving farewell to one iconic Ocean City pizzeria while, simultaneously, welcoming a new freeze-dried candy store, event venue and much more.
Here's the scoop on the Eastern Shore business scene.
Ocean City
The Dough Roller

Ocean City's iconic pizzeria The Dough Roller has closed permanently at its 70th Street location. The pizzeria was recently repainted a bright blue, and will soon be replaced by Route 66 Diner.
The Dough Roller has become a popular staple in the resort town, drawing in large crowds of hungry beachgoers each summer season. The pizzeria officially opened for business in the spring of 1980, under the management of Ocean City resident Bill Gibbs.
The pizzeria will remain open at its 41st Street location and downtown Boardwalk locations on 3rd Street and South Division Street. Both Boardwalk locations are currently closed for the winter season.

OC Socks
12741 Ocean Gateway #770
OC Socks has officially reopened in the West Ocean City Outlets. The store was previously located on the Ocean City Boardwalk, and can now be found at 12741 Ocean Gateway #770 next to American Eagle.
"OC Socks is back!" the small business announced in a Feb. 2 Facebook post.
According to its website, OC Socks takes great pride in carrying only the best and most current brand and believes socks are a great way to express oneself. Customers may stop by in-person or order online.

Eastern Shore Freeze LLC

Local freeze-dried candy store Eastern Shore Freeze LLC will be offering in-person shopping beginning March 1. The candy store, soon to be located at 116 Baptist Street, is a family-owned business.
"We will have a grand opening along with our amazing friends Classy & Sassy Boutique! There will be lots of giveaways and free samples, so bring your whole family out to support.
