Dongfeng Motor Company Ltd (Dongfeng Nissan), Nissan Motor’s 50%-owned Chinese joint venture, unveiled its all-new N7 battery-powered mid-size sedan at Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (Auto Guangzhou) this week, with local sales scheduled to begin in the first half of 2025.
Nissan pointed out that the N7 is the first model to be built on Dongfeng Nissan's new modular architecture, a platform designed in China exclusively for battery electrified vehicles (BEVs). It is also the first all-electric model to be launched in China under Nissan’s The Arc medium-term business plan, which focuses on speeding up the development and export of new energy vehicles (NEVs) from China.
The automaker said the N7, first previewed at the Beijing Motor Show in April, offers consumers in the world’s largest vehicle market a “stress-free driving experience, superior comfort and a suite of intelligent technology”. It is targeted at urban consumers and features a sleek exterior body design and an advanced interior with an infotainment system powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295P processor for a “seamless connected experience”.
The N7 will also be available with the ‘Navigate on Autopilot’ advanced driver-assist system developed in collaboration with Momenta, a Chinese autonomous driving technology company.
