Ge's practice focuses on equity and debt securities offerings. During her time at Shearman, which she joined in 2011, she was involved in several Chinese companies' initial public offerings in the U.S., including advising the underwriters on online lender LexinFintech Holdings Ltd.'s $124.2 million Nasdaq IPO earlier this year and online micro-lender China Rapid Finance Ltd.’s $60 million listing on the New York Stock Exchange last year. She was also part of the Shearman team that represented Chinese nuclear power giant CGN Power Co. Ltd. on its $3.2 billion IPO in Hong Kong back in 2014. Ge is DLA Piper’s second partner hire in its corporate practice in Greater China so far this year. In April, the firm hired corporate partner Henry Cheng in Hong Kong from Kirkland & Ellis. Despite the recent hires, DLA Piper also lost a partner from its corporate practice in Hong Kong. Mike Suen, who was with the firm for more than a decade, left to join Withers in February. Ge's departure from Shearman follows the exit of another capital markets lawyer, former associate Wanda Woo, who left the firm's Hong Kong office to join Kirkland & Ellis as a corporate partner.
