Digimarc, a digital watermarking technologies provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with industrial automation solutions provider OMRON.
The collaboration aims to change production processes across industries by integrating Digimarc's digital watermarks with OMRON's machine vision technology.
This industrial automation solution offers a novel approach to digital product identification.
It will enable manufacturers to prevent mismatched components or mislabelled products.
It will also enhance production process speed and efficiency while optimising the distribution and fulfilment of packaged goods.

In addition, the solution supports the recovery, sorting, and recycling of packaging materials, thereby reducing environmental waste and improving the quality and quantity of post-consumer recyclate.
Machines equipped with this facility can identify, inspect, and initiate track-and-trace processes, improving traceability, security, and compliance across various industrial operations.
Once implemented, digital watermarks automate the identification of packaging collection and sortation at material recycling facilities, enabling brands to meet future challenges and consumer expectations with minimal additional investment.
