DeFi provider will use money to focus on building indexes to power data analytics for all business users
LONDON, UK / ACCESSWIRE / November 4, 2021 / Defactor (www.defactor.com), a gateway for traditional businesses to access the billions of dollars available in decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity pools, today announced it has received a grant from The Graph Foundation as part of the Foundation's Wave 3 of grants totaling $1.5 million.
With the grant, Defactor joins a number of other entities in the DeFi and crypto space charged with building out the Graph protocol, supporting dapps building on The Graph and growing the community. Specifically, Defactor will focus on building indexes to power data analytics for all business users.
"Data is power. By working with the Graph, we will have real-time insights for liquidity pool covenants for MakerDAO and Centrifuge," said Sharif Bouktila, co-founder and Blockchain Lead at Defactor. "In addition, we will be able to provide data-driven analytics for trade history, giving investors a real insight into where best to place their capital."
Applications for grants came from organizations across the globe, with each applicant assessed based on the project's expected impact, community feedback, relative significance and urgency in the ecosystem.
This news comes just as Defactor is about to launch its $FACTR token, currently slated for mid-November. The company also recently announced a strategic partnership with Centrifuge, the leading protocol helping borrowers finance real-world assets without banks or intermediaries.
